Back to Love

loveDarin and Aimee revisit the original “Love Series” that Darin taught almost 13 years ago in Phoenix Arizona. This particular teaching series later was put into book form and given the title, “The God’s Honest Truth.” five years later it was republished by Windblown Media as, “The Misunderstood God.” The original audio teaching has been heard by nearly a half a million people world wide and continues to be the most popular series in the FBN. Darin and Aimee have decided to bring this awesome series to the Into the Wild show. Be sure to catch all 16 episodes of the Love Series with Darin Hufford and Aimee Dassele!!!

I haven't cracked open a Bible in ages, but reading Song of Solomon a couple of years ago was a big part of what began opening my eyes to God's love for me. I remember reading it in my bed one night and sobbing at the beauty of it. Awesome stuff.

Great podcast. I've been thinking about love lately because I know that some of the screwy/distorted beliefs about love have messed with me. I have a tendency to think that God doesn't 'adore' me when things are clearly not going well and falsely accuse him of unkindness. Something that helped me a lot was to recognise that although God is love, we are yet to experience the fullness of that love. I'm not saying that God's love is fickle/easily deterred, just that bad free-will choices and life experiences can get in the way of receiving God's love. I think it's easy to block love based on deeply entrenched beliefs that we're not worthy of God's love (as taught by lots of churches) when all he wants is to love us. It's interesting to reflect and notice that I left the institutional church kicking and screaming. At the time I concluded that I was being punished for something. Now I see that God loved me enough to get me out of what was an emotionally abusive/loveless situation.

The only reason why it would be bad to stop church would be the freedom of our liberties. This could affect though not directly -the free believers. When freedom to gather togeather is out lawed the mores and norms would set precedent for secularism .Eventually Christians would be frowned upon by the powers that be to even talk to one another.I believe Jesus is coming back and the Nation God chooses will be one with freedoms and liberties where freedom exists. So to think you will be immune in a irresponsible attitude to all Government throw out our freedoms will turn and bite you in the maximus.Free believers will be indirectly affected one way or another.Free believers in my opinion are not immune to consequences of the evils and legalism the world Governments agree or disagree on.I Trust in Jesus and have no fear.Perfect love casts out fear.We need to Believe Jesus.Rligious spirits will continue regardless but we are here to make a difference. Thanks for the talk it makes you think.GBub

Hi David, I agree that Free Believers wouldn't be immune to such a government although, those who have been out of the institutional church for a while (i.e: free believers) will be better equipped to assist those who are coming to grips with the idea. I don't think they were asserting that the website entitled 'Free Believers Network' would continue free of government interference under another system of government. I think the implication was that our faith/new mindset as free believers can continue to exist without such a structure.

    Hey Guys,

I am fairly new to the network so first let me say thanks!!

At the beginning of the podcast you guys were dancing around the familiar bush called, “which God are we talking about”. I don’t know what protocol is but I wanted to post a link to a short article that at least in my opinion helps answer that question, hope its okay.
