Darin and Robert talk about what connection is missing in so many Christian people’s lives. So many of us sincerely want to know the power of grace and be moved by it in our daily walk, yet so few of us seem to have grasped that power. For the most part it seems that grace is a drastically misunderstood word that has been watered down and fluffed up. Christians today apply grace to sin because they don’t know what else it’s good for. Detonating the power of grace in our lives may require some of us to tear down everything we’ve built and start over again with a new understanding of God’s heart for us.

Good discussion! I really loved the analogy you used with the bear. Helped put it in a new light. Thank you for what you do! :)
Wow, my xmas ligths just lit up totally. I am recovering. It's been 4 years I left my church community. Feeling lonely. Every sunday morning waking up feeling bad because this is the day of the Lord and I don't do nothing to give it a special place. Sometimes it is not so in front, but mostly it is. This discussion gives me air, and softness for me and my children. and love for Dad.
You have a special network. I would love to meet you people in the Netherlands.
Raw and honest...thank you so much. You definitely stretch me. This is a great teaching and so freeing. I have walked away from the church after being saved in 1984 at the age of 24. Thank you for being honest. Sometimes it's a little disturbing! lol
Finally something that helps make sense of GRACE, this is one of the best podcast I've heard (for me anyway) because it nailed it in my heart, I had to listen again so my head could catch up.
I hope you guys continue this conversation...
I'm really glad you guys all enjoyed this podcast. Robert and I have committed ourselves to staying on this subject for awhile. I think it's one of the most important subjects and one of the most misunderstood topics in Christianity. It's also, ironically the most simple. It should be. After all we're talking about the very power that children live by on a daily basis:-)
Guys... great job! Loved the bear imagery too! I have a better grasp on the relationship between grace and righteousness, but what IS grace? It is not the cover for sin, it is not the negative, but the positive force of the righteous? As in may the Force be with you? Can you put your finger on it? Talking about what it 'is not' is helpful, but can you talk about what it 'is'?
Grace is God moving.
Yes, yes, and yes!!! This one really made my heart smile :-D You know, I've often thought that it must be easier for us as women to catch the Bride of Christ revelation. Although we know it's not gender specific, seems that women must be able to relate easier and be open to this. I've often wondered about a more masculine comparison. I LOVE the Fred Astaire picture!!
"Grace isn't for sin" I LOVED that statement and the following commentary on that. Its so good and that alone spoke so much to me. You guys are on something here and I can't wait to hear what else you guys launch into from here.
I just love the last 2 podcasts on grace...like you said,it is SO simple, yet hard to wrap your brain around when you have been taught a certain way of thinking for so long. Realizing I am already righteous and that God isn't out to fix me has been a huge heart revelation.
Thanks beautiful girl. You're the best Shannon. I love you.
Loved this! Re-listening.
