MIDWEEK - Interview with Ed Fernandez

EdDarin and Robert talk to Darin’s friend Ed Fernandez. Ed is a great friend and a Free Believer who travels to several different Countries with the message of God’s love and grace. He currently spends most of his time in Romania getting to know people one on one and developing relationships with folks who have been steeped in religious tradition. Ed speaks a little about his journey on the Free Believer path and what that might look like in the coming months and years. He shares his concerns and opens up about the things he’s insecure about on a personal level in regards to where things are heading with Christianity. This is a transparent moment that is both touching and inspiring. You’ll enjoy this great Free Believer. You can learn more about Ed at www.RiverOfLife.net

God in a box makes me think of the evangicube. The people in the church we are coming from will ask "what material are you using to share Christ?". When the answer is "Love", it seems to be inadequate. Then you get the "grace but" message. I have recently found other groups out there that are right on track with free believers who haven't even heard of the FBN yet. God's true love and grace message is growing!!!

That's great Grady. I'd love to know about these groups. I know this is growing at an unprecedented rate.

I so loved listening to Ed's heart. Really really refreshing, and it was honestly great to hear that we are not the only one's wondering..."Well, what now?" lol! Thankyou, Ed for sharing so candidly and openly about your journey, where you are now, and the questions that are coming to the surface of your heart. I was greatly encouraged!

When you guys were talking about "not calling every negative opposing thought judgmental" instead understand that we are truly just "seeing" something... and the conditional mindset of that (any negative or opposing thoughts are judgmental) , helped me tremendously!!! It is so interesting how Satan uses the very truth to try and screw with us... sheesh.. gotta give him a little credit tho.. it is pretty smart.. working from the inside out.. like a terrorist.. sheesh...loved the pod cast immensely. Thanks!

Great interview. And I agree with Amy...It's nice to know I'm not the only one wondering "What now?"

I been moving house over the last few weeks/months and have missed a few podcasts - catching up slowly - this one was so enjoyable and part 2 cemented the joy - so glad that your divine appointment with Ed has poured living water over and in the rest of us as well. Rock On!!

This podcast was wonderful and such an encouragement to me. I really liked the excellent examples/analogies of the boxes...although it's sad to think about this. I also enjoyed observing the 3 of you encouraging and edifying one another. The comment that probably stood out to me the most was when Ed said that the institutional church will probably never go away because people need to be told what to do. WOW. Why is this? (Well, I can guess as to why.) I think you could do a whole podcast on just that topic, or maybe you already have. Jesus came to set us free. So many people still feel the need to be controlled and don't want to, or don't know how to, think for themselves. I think a lot of this goes back to the schooling system, authoritarian/controlling parenting, the business structure, and probably other factors. Many people are programmed from childhood to be told what to do. I've been listening to some of the podcasts for several months and just want to thank you for being there.
