Darin, Aimee and Mike Myers from the Free Believers Facebook page continue the discussion about Christians and the modern day teachings on the bible. This is an open discussion with no rules. Anything can be asked and all opinions and feelings about the topic are be voiced unashamedly. This is perhaps one of the most open and radical “Into the Wild” shows that’s been recorded to date. We encourage you to send this to your friends who are struggling with the same questions. Many Christians in our world today and severely oppressed by the churches teachings on the bible’s role in their life. This is perhaps the most abused and abusive topic in the Christian world today.

A discussion with friends will amazingly weave our understanding of God together building on each others thoughts, then the scholar sets us straight with what he learned in seminary and all talk ceases. Who's the fool?
Peggy, those guys from seminary are not scholars. They are people of considerable intelligence who have betrayed scholarship by using their skills to find more sophisticated ways of spinning the traditional paradigm. The differences in their opinions can be attributed more to their need for one-up-man-ship than to genuine scholarly research.
Hey Bob couldn't have said it better!!!!
Love shall Grow Forever! Heavenly Majestic Majesty Christ Jesus is my Lord and Savior! I Love you all with all the Love I possibly can! I Love You All!
You guys are rocking my world and what you are saying so resonates with where I am at. I recently bought a thick theological book to read and understand God better and as soon as soon as the writers wrote about the inerrancy of the bible, I put the book down and never went back to it.
If we make the statement "God took care of the Bible canon" a non-questionable
truth and don't even consider that it actually was a vote we can get easily into
a trap. With this way of thinking Luther even wouldn't start the reformation because
in his day everybody was sure that "God took care" of Roman-Catholic Church
government. In Jesus' time everyone was sure that "God took care" of their Pharisees
and placed all the right people there. However, history proves otherwise.
We are free beings and once He chose to give us freedom, He'll never take it away.
That's why we can do wrong things and mistakes even in the church environment. I think in Jesus' day all the common Jews were much more inclined to trust their religious authorities, not Jesus. Because "they had the right" to decide.
