No Pain No Gain part 2

heartDarin, Aimee Dassele and Amy Ramos talk about how suffering might actually be a gift from heaven. The three discuss how the level of freedom that a Free Believer experiences in their heart is directly associated and fueled by the level of pain and bondage they came from before they discovered grace. This is a two part challenging discussion that will make you rethink some of your former opinions on the subject of suffering. Could it be that we actually needed the bondage we came from in order to appreciate the freedom we now have?

Romans 8:17 and Philippians 3:10 were verses that I didn't really understand at all, as a new "believer"... and honestly, was baffled. But now, in freedom, and in His love, and in suffering, I understand. It's nothing that you can make a doctrine or a rule from (NOT) but in the crushing, something comes through that is precious.... Just like the body of Christ.

As I listened I was reminded of the story Darin wrote about of laying his naked infant child on his bare chest just to be close, with nothing in between. Suffering has a way of stripping things away so we can be close to God, with nothing in between.

Dear Friends, I have severe suffering in my life, but i believe that in the end it only makes me stronger. In the bible it says in one scripture who sinned that this man was born blind. Jesus replied neither but that the Glory of God may be revealed in him. I lost most of my vision in the last few years and sometimes i dont know how i will make it through. I dont believe all sin is the reason for suffering. Only in some cases. But i do believe in some cased it is the result of sin, but in others just life. Thank God we know the end of the story and Jesus will wipe away every tear and take away all suffering.

I believe that Jesus died once for all...all sin everything. Which goes against all the teaching that says if you have unconfessed sin you will get sick. I have been sick for 26 years and have heard it all!! I am so tired of people grabbing on me to pray it away - it gets old after this many years. The suffering I have in my body is nowhere near the mental suffering I have endured from people. It truly can make you crazy to listen to it year after year having them corral you in prayer once again making you agree with them or else. I have beaten many odds in my suffering and have no idea who I would be without the comfort, knowledge and strength I receive from the Father Thanks for another great podcast

As I was listening a thought/question came to mind. Since suffering is not part of what Father wants for us, the strength we gain through suffering is a gift from Father. It is a gift given to us because we are in a fallen world and that if humanity had not fallen he would not have given us this gift. The gift of strength and perserverance that comes from suffering. The suffering its self is not a gift, but what follows the suffering. The kind of person we become is the gift from Father since we have been kick out of the garden. It is his way of giving us hope in this fallen world because he loves us.
