Stop Fretting Over Burnt Toast

burntDarin and Aimee talk about how easy it is for us to second guess our every move as Christians. Because of the way many of us were raised, we have become obsessive compulsive in our relationship with God. Rather than just take life as it comes and trust that we are okay with Him always, many people worry constantly about everything they do. The real joy in the Christian walk comes when we realize that no matter what we do, we are okay with Him. Sometimes you just have to “Let it Go” if you want to experience any level of joy and contentment with God. Giving yourself permission to do that is perhaps the most important decision you’ll ever make.

Great podcast. It's been a huge relief to realize that God wants to relate to me as an adult and that he respects and works with my choices and decisions accordingly. It frees up so much time and energy for me to just go on with my life.

That was probably one of the best podcasts ever. It's all starting to click in my head. All of the mindless chatter! Wow! So true. so so so true. I have to constantly remind myself-or He tells me-just let it go! Just let it go!

dj, I don't know why you would say something like that since you apparently don't know Darin at all. If you did, you would know he is far from arrogant but, even if he is, you're foolish comment says more about you than it does about him.

Hope Darin doesn't feel too bad about dj's comment. I've been called that before, except in my case a different adjective was used instead of arrogant (you know the one that starts with mother as a prefix).

This podcast meant a lot to me. I struggled also with the thoughts Amy described. Still not 100% free, but definitely on the right track. Thanks again guys!

There is a fairly large group of us here in Canada who get together and listen to the podcasts and thats the last thing we think of Darrin. It was meant as a stereotypical statment and quite frankly we laughed our butts off.In hindsight ,even though it was a totally superficial comment,I see your point. Mea Culpa Darrin you should drop mt comment.

dj, after I posted my comment I wondered if your comment was meant as a joke but it was hard to tell since there no LOL after it and Darin sometimes does get the rudest comments. Sorry I overreacted. You sound like a great guy and I'll be looking forward to reading more comments from you. Did you go to his meetings when he was in Toronto?

Did you hear Drew Marshall say the same thing to me? I was on his show once and I said, "If I'm right about who God is - and I am"...

He came back and said, "Spoken like a true American."

    Thanks for listening guys. :-)
