Re: Podcast Discussion: The Frame of Love

Yeah, I heard imply that good couples would continuously grow and learn more about each other for the rest of their lives. Thinking about it one of the reasons I hear of couple splitting up is due to their relationship becoming stagnant. Couples just get bored with each other after while so they mov...

No problem and The Shack is a good read if you are interested in good Christian fiction with a good theme and a heartwarming message. :)

Re: Podcast Discussion: The Frame of Love

Having been married to the same man for 48 years, I’m not sure I totally agree with what your teacher said. I think each marriage is different and there are a variety of reasons for staying together so, although friendship is part of a healthy marriage, I would hope that there’s more than just frie...

Re: Serving God

The Bible seems to have many verses about serving God and giving to God, here's a selection: 1 Samuel 12:24 ESV Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you. Colossians 3:23-24 ESV Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord...

Re: Podcast Discussion: The Frame of Love

I’ve never understood what "putting God first" meant. I've even heard believers present a scale with God first, family next, job next and others last. What exactly does that mean? How much of a percentage do we assign to each in order to stay in the proper percentages? It never made any s...

Re: Podcast Discussion: The Frame of Love

I’m glad you’re back. It’s always good to read your thoughts. Thank you Aida! I'm happy to here that. ^_^ It's nice to be back. The Bible doesn’t mention dating one way or the other so I don’t believe we can make a case for or against dating using the Bible. Believers simply followed the accepted c...

Re: Podcast Discussion: The Frame of Love

I thought it nice and different that Darin and Aimee did a Valentine Day podcast(or at least I took it as a Valentine’s Day podcast base on the summery and the fact it was uploaded on Valentine’s Day) so I checked it out and it turns out to be a topic I’ve had been waiting to hear discuss in the sho...

Re: Mick Mooney shares his thoughts about the Bible

That they do. In fact I think that is one of the reasons why I disagree with the idea that believers should strictly marry other believers. As I mention before to me it seems that there might be this belief that believers share the same common goal with each other which relates to spirituality when ...

Re: Mick Mooney shares his thoughts about the Bible

Your assumption that a believer would just know not to marry an unbeliever, without knowing so from the bible is, in my opinion, not very solid ground. Believers are very capable of being talked into, and talking themselves into, all kinds of wrong moves. I disagree on this one. When it comes to so...

Re: Mick Mooney shares his thoughts about the Bible

A friend of mine sent me the following post that Mick Mooney posted on his Facebook page and I think it's very well written. I tend to avoid posting about the Bible since it causes a lot of stress with other believers. However, Mick’s post, in my opinion, gives a great explanation of the purpose of...

Sorry it took a while to respond back. I didn’t see this on my birthday as I was only on FBN during the morning time of my birthday. Plus I have been doing other things. Thank you for the birthday wish. ^ ^ By birthday was good. I received a few birthday greetings on facebook and DeviantArt and from...

Re: "Was America Founded as a Christian Nation"

I really enjoy studying history and I believe it’s beneficial for people to understand the history of the country where they live. Even though American history is taught in schools, many people seem to have no understanding of the people and the events that have shaped us as a nation. I think it's ...

Posted by Darin: I'm going to try to post another podcast in the next week or so. Sorry I haven't kept up with that. There's no need for him to apologize. It's entirely understanding that he couldn't keep up with the podcasts. All he needs to do now is rest. When he is well enough he can do the pod...

Re: "Was America Founded as a Christian Nation"

Alright! Let me know what you think of the program. Also thank you for the book recommendation. When I get around to it I'll be sure to give it a read. :) From the sounds of it it seems like a good book both for learning history and life lessons.
