Welcome Cynthia!
I agree with Heather. What a beautiful piece of work! And the story with it makes it so much more. I'm looking forward to seeing you (and your art) here!

Hey Cynthia,
I was snooping around your blogs... wow, you have some very unique and inspiring art work and true heart blog posts... I have always told my self that I do not have a creative bone in my body... Then I watched my high schooler... She was placed in an art class, it was her 3rd choice elective... and to her surprise and mine she found out that she is very creative and talented...
I have often wondered if I sold myself short... how did you get started???

Cynthia, this is beautiful. Like Kim, I've never been artistically inclined. But after seeing such beautiful expressive work I'm wondering if it's time I give it a try...

Cynthia, that's beautiful and your explantion really spoke to me.We do have a tendency to equate our sorrows and our struggles with a lack of faith but, like you, I've learned that even during those times, God is still very much a part of them. My struggles are really struggles in union with him instead of struggles in opposition to him.
Thanks for sharing your gift with us. I consider myself artistically challenged so I enjoy seeing others display their artistic gifts.
I hope others will share too whether it's through painting or poetry. Father reveals himself to us through these creative arts just as he does through narrative forms.

That's so true. If we are lamenting to someone 'out there', we must believe there IS someone out there, right? But , as I began to work, the rich colors that I love would not leave. Then I realize that in my moments of lament, there was still belief, there was still faith
Love your artwork.

I love photography. Does that count?
Here's a shot of one of the lighthouses we stopped at on the way down the Oregon coast...

Currently a Sony A-100 DSLR. Would like to upgrade to an A-350 though, when budget allows.
